I’m Romesh Collins, a strategic marketing and product leader with extensive experience across the life sciences ecosystem. I’ve worked at Charles River Labs, a leading contract research organization specializing in drug discovery, drug development, and biotechnology services, where I translated complex scientific challenges into compelling commercial strategies. I’ve also contributed to MilliporeSigma (the U.S. and Canada life science business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany), a global provider of critical tools and solutions that enable scientific innovation and advancement. Throughout my career, I’ve led cross-functional initiatives that drive demand, shape industry narratives, and create lasting value for businesses and their customers. Beyond my professional work, I am passionate about exploring and sharing insights at the intersection of science, strategy, and innovation—insights that reflect rigorous thinking and actionable strategy that drive progress across our industry and within the organizations I partner with.

My journey began in Colombo, Sri Lanka, where I was born and raised. At St. Joseph’s College, Colombo, I developed my foundational passion for science, arts, and analytical thinking. The school’s rigorous academic environment nurtured my intellectual curiosity and laid the groundwork for my future academic and professional pursuits.

Driven by a desire for broader horizons, I moved to New York to pursue higher education. I earned a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from The City College of New York (CUNY), where I was exposed to innovative research and cutting-edge approaches in my field. This experience solidified my commitment to interdisciplinary learning and problem-solving. My academic journey continued with a Master’s in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Business Administration and Finance from Monroe University, New York, further expanding my technical and strategic capabilities.
